OPEN AIR - CONCERT AT THE PARK

Concert by Sinfonisches Blasorchester Bruchsal

On the theatre stage at Schlosspark, the Bruchsal Symphonic Wind Orchestra presents a colourful programme from the world of operettas, musicals and films.

Titles such as My Fair Lady by Frederick Loewe, Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin, Charles Chaplin by Charles Chaplin and Orpheus in the Underworld by J. Offenbach can be heard. But also titles from film and television such as Chocolat by Rachel Portman, Beverly Hills Cop by Harold Faltermeyer and a dream ship medley by James Last are not to be missed.

The Bruchsal Symphonic Wind Orchestra with its eventful history was founded in 1838 and consists of about 50 musicians in its current form. The spectrum ranges from concert brass music to modern big band sound to pop and rock music.

Since September 2013, Thomas Biel has been the musical director of the Bruchsal Symphonic Wind Orchestra. In addition to the annual spring, summer and autumn concerts, there are always extraordinary events such as swing concerts, Bavarian evenings and church concerts that are very well received by the audience. The orchestra is also booked by the city of Bruchsal, such as at New Year's receptions in the Bürgerzentrum or on the Day of Mourning.
