André Becker

In the early 90s, André Becker studied Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen. After assistant positions at Theater Basel and Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, he freelanced as dramaturg, director, production manager, and actor.

From 2007 – 2009 he held the position of dramaturg at Theater Aachen, responsible for Mörgens, the venue for Young Theatre, experiments, and one-off events. From 2009 – 2013, he worked as dramaturg and director at Theater Rampe in Stuttgart.

From 2014 – 2020, he held the position of dramaturgat Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater, where he also directed production for young audiences and took on smaller roles in different plays. From 2020 – 2022, Becker was head dramaturg and member of the artistic directorship at Stadttheater Gießen.

Beginning with the 2023/24 season, André Becker is head dramaturg at Badische Landesbühne.
